| Course Description: This is a beginning course in German. The lessons begin with pronunciation basics combined with practical, conversational dialogs which are built upon in each next lesson as more vocabulary, phrases, and grammar are gradually introduced. The grammar is clearly explained with examples, diagrams and reviews. The exercises are well written to reinforce the student’s understanding and ability to utilize and blend the new material with the previous lessons. Cultural notes related to the lessons add to the practical approach and add an interesting element to this language study. Completion of this course will provide the student with basic understanding, reading and writing skills, and oral fluency in German. |
