Description:

This course provides students with a solid study of traditional mathematics concepts. Problem-solving strategies, critical thinking, estimation, and mental math are routinely stressed throughout. The material begins by reviewing facts regarding number and place value, and then moves into addition, subtraction, and multiplication of whole numbers; and division by one and two digit numbers. Students will also work with fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, measurement, geometry, polygons, graphs, statistics, and probability. A number of word problem sets are included.
