A Heart of Thanksgiving
As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, it’s essential to remember that gratitude isn’t confined to a single day—it’s a posture of the heart that transforms our daily lives. The Bible reminds us in
1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
True Thanksgiving
True thanksgiving is not based on our circumstances but on the unchanging goodness of God. It’s easy to give thanks when life is going well, but God calls us to a deeper gratitude—a heart that trusts Him even in challenges, knowing that He is faithful and sovereign.
Reflect on His Blessings
When we reflect on His blessings, we are reminded of the greatest gift of all: Jesus Christ, who reconciled us to the Father through His sacrifice. This truth should fill our hearts with awe and gratitude, not just during Thanksgiving but every day.
As you sit at the table with loved ones, take time to reflect on God’s goodness and share His love. Let this season be a reminder to cultivate a lifestyle of gratitude, rooted in faith and trust in the One who provides abundantly for His children.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness and provision. Help us to give thanks in every season, trusting in Your perfect plan. May our hearts overflow with gratitude for Your love and grace. Amen.
Thanksgiving Blessings!
Warmly, Nancy Kramer
