Let’s embrace a morning routine that is uplifting, relational, and brimming with joy through our Week 4 Morning Basket Mini Series: Joy and Connection. This final week of the series aims to assist families in forging meaningful connections and creating joyful experiences to kick off each day.
Let’s be honest—some mornings just feel heavy. The alarm goes off, and the weight of the day seems to settle on our shoulders before we’ve even had our first sip of coffee. But what if we could transform these mornings into something lighter, filled with laughter, connection, and joy?
How to Make Morning Time More Joyful
This week, let’s focus on making our morning routine a bit more fun and engaging. After all, mornings set the tone for the rest of the day, so why not start on a positive note? Here are a few ideas to infuse joy into your morning time, especially if you’re homeschooling:
- 📖 Read Something Silly Together: Whether it’s a funny poem or a delightful children’s book, a little humor can go a long way in brightening the morning mood.
- 🙏 Try a Bible Trivia Game or Charades: Engaging activities like these can spark curiosity and provide a wonderful opportunity for learning and bonding as a family.
- ✨ Add a Special Snack or a “Thankful Jar”: Start with a delightful treat or take a moment to reflect on what you’re grateful for. A thankful jar can be a lovely ritual to cultivate gratitude and mindfulness.
- 💛 Snuggle Up and Slow Down**: There’s no rush. Take a few extra moments to enjoy each other’s company, share a hug, or simply breathe together.
