🌱 Cultivating the Heart: Your May Guide to Growth and Grace

Dig Into May’s Garden of Learning!

As the May sun begins to warm the soil and the school year winds to a close, many of us feel a mix of exhaustion and excitement. The textbooks are nearly finished, the “indoor days” are disappearing, and the garden is calling.

In this month’s review, we’re leaning into the theme of growth—not just in our children’s grades, but in their character and our family rhythms.

Worldview Watch: Lessons from the Soil

There is a reason the Bible is filled with agricultural metaphors. From the Parable of the Sower to the reminder that “whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7), God often uses the garden to teach us about the soul.

As we move into May, it is easy to feel weary of the routine. But remember: the “growing season” doesn’t end just because the school year does. Whether you are tending a small pot on a windowsill or a sprawling backyard plot, gardening offers a unique opportunity to teach our children about God’s faithfulness and patience. This month, let’s look for the “Good News” hidden in the dirt and remind our children that it is God who gives the growth, both in the garden and in our hearts.
